Essent'ial
Essent’ial was born in 2006 and is produced and distributed by A.G.C., a company founded in 1999 which concentrates its flair for innovation and creation in the area of printing on extreme substrates such as canvas and unconventional materials. In line with its background, it brings its concern for environmental protection directly to bear in its production practices. It has established important synergies with its local economy for the realisation of its lines and various projects in which it is involved in a variety of contexts, from the economic to the social. Essent’ial is a collection of designer items springing from the creativity of its originator Albano Ghizzoni. Pieces are made from natural materials such as recycled and FSC certified paper and cardboard, and washable cellulose fibre. The company has launched a number of products developed in association with other companies, such as the bags and sacks featuring the graphics of the famous Finnish firm Marimekko. It has worked in partnership with Matteo Ragni on his “100% TobeUs” exhibition (Milan Museum of Science and Technology - December 2012/January 2013). Its very latest work has been with the architect Paola Navone, a genuine design icon, and K-lab, a diversely creative laboratory that is an innovative, different, special project, reflecting Essent’ial’s intrinsic responsiveness to the emotional, human, spiritual side of life.
